About Us

My name is Lorraine Chappell and I am an actress with over 20 years experience of performing on stage.

I trained at The Arts Educational School in Chiswick as a child and then went on to train specifically in Classical Dance at the prestigious Royal Ballet School. Whilst studying, I had a chance to work alongside and perform with both the Royal Ballet Company and The Birmingham Royal Ballet Company.

My passion was always dance from a young age but whilst at Arts Educational School, I won a coveted role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End Production 'Aspects of Love' alongside stage sensation Michael Ball. This then gave me my first taste of Musical Theatre and I was hooked!

Upon leaving The Royal Ballet School I completed additional Contemporary training at The Ballet Rambert. After attending an 'open audition' for Phantom of The Opera I was offered the role of Meg Giry on the UK Tour. I was thrilled. Not only would I be dancing en pointe, I would also get a chance to sing, my two passions were united once again...

My aim for the Mini Molesey Theatre Club is to provide a social setting for young children to explore their theatricality. Without realising it, your child's confidence and ability to listen will grow.

Through singing and learning new songs, children enhance their listening skills, develop rhythm, timing and diction.

Through movement, your child will become spacially aware, motor skills, co-ordination balance and posture will also be improved.

Story telling and improvisation through drama games help to build your child's confidence, focus and ability to listen to others.

My goal is to identify and encourage your child's individual strengths and to nurture their talent in a safe and stress free environment.

I hope to provide a solid foundation for those students who may wish to pursue a life in the Performing Arts, but ultimately, the Mini Molesey Theatre Club aims to give all children the confidence to be themselves!
